What Is ProductMaximiser and Why Is It Important? 

ProductMaximiser is our in-house tool made up of 10 connected dashboards that give us a full view of our product inventory across Shopping and PMax campaigns. Instead of checking different platforms manually, ProductMaximiser brings everything into one place and shows us exactly where action is needed. 

The centre of ProductMaximiser is the product funnel. It shows all products in the feed and tracks how many are in stock, approved, targeted, receiving impressions, and generating clicks. This makes it easy to see where products are dropping off – and which dashboard to use next. 

We usually start with the foundations. The Disapproval Dashboard highlights the main reasons products are being rejected in MC and shows which categories are most affected. Once those issues are resolved, the Out of Stock Dashboard helps us make sure we’re not investing budget in products that can’t convert. 

From there, we look at missed opportunities. The Untargeted Products Dashboard reveals products that are in the feed but not included in campaigns. The Low Volume Dashboard then helps us identify SKUs, brands, or categories that are live but not receiving enough visibility. Together, these dashboards help us expand coverage and increase impression volume. 

Feed quality plays a key role in all of this. The Feed Attributes Dashboard highlights missing or weak attributes, such as GTIN, brand, or product type depth, which can limit visibility. Improving these areas strengthens performance across the funnel. For time-sensitive inventories, the Expiring SKUs Dashboard ensures products don’t quietly drop out of the feed due to outdated information. 

Once the structure is strong and gaps are closed, we shift focus to growth. The Top Performers Dashboard shows which products are driving the most engagement and sales, helping us confidently push budget behind what’s working. The Custom Insights Dashboard allows us to segment products in more flexible ways, giving deeper performance visibility. And finally, the Historical Product Funnel Dashboard shows how our optimisations impact performance over time, helping us prioritise what to do next.
